Aleksandra Sikorska was born and raised in Poland.  She moved to the United States when she was 15 years old.  In 2008, she graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology.  She earned her Law degree from the Florida International University College of Law in May 2012.

While in law school, Aleksandra clerked for a Judge in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court and worked at two public interest law firms. During her time at one of the public interest firms, she conducted research and assisted with the drafting of an amicus curiae brief to the Florida Supreme Court. She also volunteered with numerous non-profit organizations, particularly those relating to animal advocacy, legal defense, and rescue. Aleksandra co-founded and served as President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund in her law school, a chapter of a well known national legal organization.

During her last year of legal studies, Aleksandra worked for a prominent Miami attorney at a boutique general litigation firm where she performed extensive research and drafted documents in various complex civil matters. She continued this employment after graduation. Aleksandra also worked at a well regarded insurance defense firm in Downtown Miami where she handled first-party property claims.

Aleksandra is routinely appointed by Circuit Court Judges to serve as Guardian Ad Litem, Attorney Ad Litem, and Administrator Ad Litem in mortgage foreclosure actions.
